Dear: Great Oklahoma Friends

Hello! My name is Timothy R. Murray. I am running for The U.S. House of Representatives in 2012, for the Great State of Oklahoma’s 3rd District. In the following, I share some of my initial goals, as I seek to lead in the United States House Representatives after election.

My Degree and further Higher Education is from Oklahoma State University in Electronic and Electrical Engineering Technologies. My Professional Career life has been in large Pharmacy Chains and the Marketplace. I have thoroughly enjoyed developing people in their pursuit of higher potential and transforming businesses to higher levels. Now I look to bring my dedication of my leadership into Public Service.

Let me tell you just some of the reasons I have chosen to pursue this endeavor. First, I believe the Constitution of the United States must be upheld regardless of any other purpose. Secondly, I believe every citizen deserves representation. We must create economic benefits for the farmers, ranchers, all other business people, and the young and retired citizens alike. Finally but not last, we must renew Our Government’s commitment to one that safeguards the economy in placing protection for Businesses from raids and other stumbling blocks to maintaining a future of Economic Growth for this century and into the next.

It is my belief, that we must correct the stumbling blocks in our current policy with the following immediate goals:

Create market opportunities for New Jobs Growth and not close doors in Any Sector

We must create incentives for businesses to improve solid new job growth in all tiers of the job market. This will help raise the job sector which will lead to more sustainable thriving economy.

The budget cuts and proposed cuts to The Department of Agriculture will further damage Farming and Livestock businesses. According to the United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural exports for 2011 were $132.0 Bil. which was down $5.4 Bil. over 2010’s exports. During the same period, imports were up $11.0 Bil. in 2011 over 2010. We are the world food producer. We can’t suppress Agriculture in Our Economy. We must ensure the Agriculture Market that has adequate support for individual and incorporated farmers. I will not support overall cuts to The Department of Agriculture.

Legislation to significantly help make Health Care More Affordable at the Premium Quality that All Citizens Deserve

We can’t make any further cuts to Medicare. The gap in coverage that is passed along to the patient with supplemental insurance costs is already too significant. We must continue the aggressive look into Medicare miss billing and fraud. This will lower the cost structure of Medicare.

We still have a long way to go on Veteran health care facilities across Our Nation. We must look for long term solutions.

We must create opportunities for all national insurance companies to compete in State’s Medicaid Health Insurance Programs. The competition in the insurance market will lower insurance costs.

Restore Our Commitment to Public Education and Our Teachers

Our Teachers are among the Greatest in The World. We must give our Teachers more freedom of their creativity to teach their students the way that is most beneficial from their prospective. In that, we must bear the cost. Far too much of creative cost has been spent out of Teacher’s income. We must remember from grade school to high school, these students are Our Future.

Equal Opportunity at All Levels of Employment

We have not achieved diversity in all tiers of employment. It is Our responsibility to make The Dream become REALITY. When Women and People of All Races are given the same consideration in upper level positions then we have made great progress towards The Dream in this decade.

Lower and Eliminate The National Debt

The National Debt is over 15 Trillion. We must get spending under control. I remember when under President’s William J. Clinton Administration the prepared Budgets were on Target to eliminate the National Debt. Each party blames the other side for out of control spending. We must work across the aisles, on each spending measure, and look at the cost in more detail to get spending under control.

We must have open reporting and transparency with Congressional spending. Then voters will then know which Congress person is working for America’s Future and those who are not.

Though the business and festivities of the convention are still months away, the process is already underway and there are key steps that every interested delegate should understand.

If you plan to run to be a delegate to the National Convention, the 2012 Declaration of Candidacy for Delegate to the National Convention must be completed, notarized and received no later than 5 p.m. on March 15th. If you didn’t receive the necessary forms, you can contact the Oklahoma Democratic Party at (405) 427-3366 and/or by downloading them from the state party’s website or its Facebook page.

Special primary elections are being held across the third district today. These are the first of half a dozen elections this year that will help shape the future of our cities, counties, state and country.

The resolution reads:

The Oklahoma Democratic Party supports legislation protecting the doctor patient relationship by allowing medical marijuana with doctor’s recommendation.

Senator Constance Johnson (Oklahoma City, District 48) has introduced an actual medical marijuana bill! If passed, Senate Bill 573 would for the medical use of marijuana with a doctor’s recommendation.
